Common Insect Pollinators, and native plant species to support pollinator diversity

Thanks to all of you that came along to our May 2013 Public Talk on Wild Pollinators. Dr Brad Howlett gave a great presentation on wild insect pollinators and why they are important to our arable crops. Brad kindly supplied a list of plant species you could plant in your garden to attract beneficial insects, and help improve pollination rates, as well as a photo guide to common pollinators. He also invited anyone keen on helping build knowledge on pollinator–plant interactions to take photographs of different pollinating species you see visiting flowering plants in your gardens, parks or forests and email them to Brad to identify them so he can gain extra information on associations. His contact details are also on the information sheet below.
