The Central Auckland Branch of Forest & Bird has had a commitment to the promotion of conservation values to children for many years.

This has been directed through the activities of the Kiwi Conservation Club and the Green Schools Project.
The Green Schools Award is an extension of these activities. It is an annual competition for central Auckland primary and intermediate schools. The winning entry receives $1000 for a future conservation-related project at their school, and it is hoped that all participants will win by being involved in a fun project which is educational and will benefit their school.
Details of winning projects will be exhibited on our website as a means of promoting the good work and sharing ideas. For further details of the competition contact us to be sent the Green Schools Award Brochure and Entry Form. Some examples of projects are available to see below also.
Prizes - Winners receive the Green Schools Award shield for a year, plus $1000 to spend on a conservation project, and membership to KCC.
