Want to get a better understanding of the curious wildlife – big and small – that inhabits the Denniston Plateau?
Forest & Bird is running weekend field trips up to the plateau for those wanting to know more about this ecological treasure trove on the West Coast that is currently under threat from an Australian coal mining company.
The first field trip will run February 23-24, with a second trip likely in mid-March dependent upon demand. Renowned nature and wildlife photographer Rod Morris (pictured) will be joining the February field trip to share his expertise, while Forest & Bird’s Denniston expert Debs Martin will offer detailed insight into the plateau’s ecological and geographic story.
Participants will need to arrange their own travel and accommodation. Costs for the weekend are by donation to the Denniston campaign.
Places are limited, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest.
