Adelia Hallett, Climate Change Advocate
As guardians of the natural world, we need to plan now how we can increase the resilience of our special areas to climate change. By helping protect nature from climate change, we can also help protect ourselves, because native forests can store vast amounts of carbon dioxide, and natural features like dunes and mangroves, and wetlands can buffer the impacts of the sea. The talk is an outline of some of the impacts we can expect from climate change, and a discussion about what can be done locally.
