19 SEPTEMBER 2010 – PEST CONTROL AT KEPA BUSH (please note the date of this event has been confirmed)
Join us at Kepa Bush to learn about this piece of bush ‘hidden’ in central Auckland and animal tracking tunnels. A specialist will help us undertake a survey of the existing tracking tunnels (and other equipment) to see how the animal pest control efforts are working. This will be hands on experience for the children and will contribute to the Council’s statistics! Then take home a tracking tunnel to try in your own backyard!
Meet in the picnic area at the main entrance to the Park at 10.30am. This entrance is off Kepa Road and has a large park sign to direct you. Vehicles can be parked in the Eastridge shopping centre and from there it is a 150 metre walk along Kepa Road to the Park’s entrance.
We will have a wet weather venue.
Numbers are limited so please book with Marguerite by 10 September: mlp418@gmail.com
