Lords Bush, near Springfield;
A treasure is this T shaped 12 ha podocarp and beech forest on alluvial outwash at the toe of Mt Torlesse. Podocarps are mainly mature Kahikatia with some Matai. The bush is surrounded by farmland and the botanists will interprate.
Meet 10am at the Yaldhurst Hotel carpark for carpooling. $10 per person. Bring lunch, nibbles and hot, cold and rainproof gear.
