It's time to get our hands dirty again and weed at Tarakena Bay to help stop the weeds overwhelming the plants. Our focus is hand releasing natives we have planted in past years to supplement the spraying that has been done in the back dune area and weeding the dunes some more.

We will follow the weeding with a BBQ lunch to say thank you to all our volunteers from the past year. We really appreciate the work all our volunteers do, so we want to celebrate it!

 When: 10:00am - 12:00pm Saturday February 25^th (followed by BBQ)

 Where: Tarakena Bay - Just Below the Ataturk Memorial on Moa Point Rd (for a map click here)

 What should I bring? : If you have gloves and small hand tools bring them along. If you don't have them we will have some available for you to use.
