Blue Wellington: October Report

03 Oct 2009

Woo what a talk fest! The November gathering was a great experience, featuring discussions on both a freshwater and marine theme.

Forest&Birds communications officer Marine Skinner shared information on our freshwater campaign and upcoming, nationally coordinated,Day on a Wild River events. The event in our region is being held on 29 November at Kaitoke Park where our Hutt River runs wild and free. A fun-filled day for young and old alike and supported by a whole heap of groups and organisations. For more information check out our web pages or contact Marina direct at: m.skinner@forestandbird.org.nz

Climate action group 350.org also joined us and led an informative discussion on climate change in a marine context, what it means to each of us, whats going on with our decision makers and what we can do to make a difference both in our lives and to help put some rockets under some bums.
