Icebreaker giveaway kick-starts online campaign

30 Apr 2014

Forest & Bird is proud to announce that it has partnered with Icebreaker for its most recent campaign – It’s in our Nature.

The fundraising website asks New Zealanders to join Sam Neill, Anton Oliver, Dame Anne Salmond and Icebreaker’s CEO Jeremy Moon to add their message  to the site and build a mosaic of pictures of New Zealanders who are standing up for nature.

So far, Forest & Bird has raised over $3,000 from the site. The donated money will ensure that Forest & Bird can make a stand for a sustainable future and enable us to continue to speak up for our native creatures, plants and wild places, on land and at sea.

Icebreaker also believes in a sustainable future, and they’ve come on board to kick start the campaign. Anyone who signs up to www.inournature.org.nz, before the end of May will go into the draw to win a merino Icebreaker top (see image to the right).

Icebreaker’s CEO, Jeremy Moon, was a big supporter of the campaign from the outset. He says that New Zealanders deeply ingrained duty of care for the natural word is something we should never lose.

“I'm supporting this campaign because as New Zealanders, nature is a core part of our psyche and is reflected in so much of what we do. It is expressed through the businesses we create and our products and services, which are unique internationally. People want what we have. However, our natural environment is often taken for granted, and we need to protect it and ensure that we keep New Zealand as pure as it can be.”

See www.inournature.org.nz to add your voice to the site and help us help nature.
