Our Northland branches are active in hands-on restoration projects, such as pest control at 5,500 hectare Puketi Forest, where North Island robins and kokako have recently been returned.
Our two branches also actively campaign for better protection of the region’s fragile coastal environment from the impact of development, vehicles off beaches and other threats to some of our most threatened species, such as the fairy tern.
Our Arethusa Lodge in Northland is the perfect spot to enjoy birdlife amid a 14-hectare wetland reserve.
