Climate change is the biggest threat nature has ever faced. It harms our forests and oceans and threatens our birds, fish, and reptiles.
Here in New Zealand we have already seen melting glaciers, rising seas, and new and more frequent extreme weather events. It can feel overwhelming but there are things we can do every day to make a difference.
Our native forests and wetlands also have enormous potential to absorb carbon and protect us from the worst effects of extreme weather. The more we restore wild places and make them resilient to changing climate, the more benefit we’ll see. If we help nature, nature will protect us. But the clock is ticking.
One way you can make a difference right now is by donating to Forest & Bird.
