Wellington Region Tramping & Walking Groups
Two F&B groups organise walks and tramps in the Wellington Region, both are popular and welcome members to join them on their regular jaunts. Their trips take in some of Wellington's most scenic and interesting spots, as well as the lesser known hideaways. Warm clothing and strong footwear are essential. We ask that children under 15 are accompanied by an adult, plants are not collected and dogs are left at home.
e-Walkers
This group attracts people who like a leisurely pace and a free flow approach to their walking program. They meet each week on Wednesday at 10am somewhere in the Wellington region for a walk that and can take upto 4 hours.

Weather Forecast
Met Service has a very useful feature for those of us lucky enough to be on Broadband. This is a 7_day_rain_forecast that shows you just where the rain will be at three different times during the day – helpful if you are not sure if you have time to get the walk ‘in’ before the rains come.
You may also find the NZCity weather forecasts useful.
