Wellington Region Tramping & Walking Groups
The Wellington Region has two Forest and Bird Walking Groups both of which are very popular and welcome members to join them on their regular jaunts. The trips take in some of Wellington's most scenic and interesting spots, as well as the lesser known hideaways. Warm clothing and strong footwear are essential. We ask that children under 15 are accompanied by an adult, plants are not collected and dogs are left at home.
e-Walkers
This group meets each Wednesday at 10am somewhere in the Wellington region for a tramp of upto 4 hours at leisurely pace. It attracts walkers who like the free flow approach to their walking program.

Weather Forecast
Met Service has a very useful feature for those of us lucky enough to be on Broadband. This is a 7_day_rain_forecast that shows you just where the rain will be at three different times during the day – helpful if you are not sure if you have time to get the walk ‘in’ before the rains come.
You may also find the NZCity weather forecasts useful.
