How is New Zealand Doing to Protect the Marine Environment - with Focus on Fishing?
This year's Lance McCaskill Memorial speaker is Barry Weeber. Barry has an extensive knowledge of New Zealand’s conservation, resource management, marine and fisheries management, as well as knowledge of the state of, and history of, New Zealand’s fish stocks and their management. As co-chair of ECO, and after 15 years working for Forest and Bird, on a wide range of issues, he represents and consults to the Deep Sea Conservation Coalition (DSC), Greenpeace NZ, the Antarctic and Southern Oceans Coalition (ASOC) and other organisations.
The talk will be preceded by a brief AGM. Supper and a chat afterwards.
