Metalbird have supported Forest & Bird’s conservation mahi since 2020. It began with a steel silhouette of the Bird of the Year winner crafted in record time. Each year since, they have done the same in celebration of Aotearoa New Zealand’s favourite manu.
Bird of the Year went global in 2023, thanks to some intervention from John Oliver and Metalbird were along for the ride. Thousands of pūteketeke flew off the shelves, helping uplift this previously lesser known underbird.
30% of profits are donated to support our conservation mahi – giving back to the nature that inspires Metalbird’s designs.
VisitMetalbirdBillboards across the motu have featured Forest & Bird campaigns, including our Bird of the Year competition, since 2022 thanks to Go Media.
