We will travel to Clarkes Junction onto the Old Dunstan Rd and on to the Te Papanui Conservation Reserve.
This cycle trip takes old 4WD tracks, climbing steeply up to the main ridge and back down across Deep Creek (a wide crossing, typically knee deep) before gently going uphill along the east side of the range. It is a “there and back” cycle ride, not a circuit.
Important information
- You must bring all appropriate cycling gear, including a helmet.
- You must carry cold weather gear, regardless of the weather.
- You must carry enough water to keep you hydrated throughout the trip.
- You must advise the trip leader of any medical issues or allergies that may impact you on this trip and carry all appropriate medication.
