Changed date due to the Covid Level 3, we are holding our pre-election Meet the Candidates meeting now on Thursday 1st of October. Covid levels permitting, it will be held live at the Kelston Community Hall. In case Auckland is still in Level 3, we will change this into a virtual meeting everyone can attend in the comfort of their own home.
The candidates will answer a number of pre-set questions, on their own behalf or that of their party. The questions will revolve around the future of our natural environment, climate change and how their decisions are influenced by external factors in our post-Covid world. Some questions will focus specifically on hot topics for our area and electorate.
After these questions, we open it up to (written) questions from the floor, either addressed to a specific person or to the whole panel. This is your chance to get that burning question answered!
Afterwards we provide a light supper to give the audience and candidates to mix and mingle and to informally get to know each other better (of course only when we’re meeting in Kelston!)
As this is one of the bigger “Meet the Candidates” meetings, we have a track record of a high number of candidates showing up to bid for your vote!
