Forest & Bird's Dunedin Branch is hosting a planting day at Moore's Bush Reserve in the beautiful Leith Valley.
What to bring (if you have them)
- A spade
- Gardening gloves
- Water and snacks
- Good sturdy shoes
This year, we have been working hard to remove blackberry, broom and Himalayan honeysuckle from Moore's Bush Reserve.
Now, it is time to re-plant the area with native trees. This planting day will host KCC, students from SEA and anyone else who wants to come and help.
Transport is available from the Willowbank Dairy at 12:45 pm. Please contact Francie Beggs on the details listed below if you would like to arrange a ride.
The postponement day for this event is Sunday 11 August from 1pm - 3pm.
Directions
At the North end of George St, turn left into Malvern St and continue up the valley into Leith Valley Road for several km. Then turn into Thompson Road.
Alternative route: Follow SH1 North. Turn right onto Pigeon Flat Rd. Turn Right onto Leith Valley Road. Then turn into Thompson Road.
