Meet at 9.45am at the parking area at the end of Coutt's Island rd (just past 589 Coutt's Island Rd to register (see attached maps) and then walk to the planting area. Bruce Craig will meet volunteers at the car park.

The Sanctuary is an ECan reserve on the banks of the Waimakariri river. Forest and Bird is helping Greg Stanley, the Ecan Regional Biodiversity Ranger, by planting native trees to restore habitat for forest and braided river birds and other native fauna. Forest and Bird also run a predator trapping programme at 'The Sanctuary'.

Spades are provided, but please bring your own gloves. We will work 1-2 metres apart for social distancing. If you are feeling unwell please stay at home. There will be a cuppa and snack afterward, if Covid restrictions at the time allow.
