Forest and Bird will be helping with the coastal cleanup of the Waimea Estuary. This coincides with conservation week which is the 15th to 23rd of August this year. We will meet at 9 am at Rabbit Island just across the causeway on the left-hand side. As we did last year, we hope to cover as much of Rough Island as possible and hopefully a little bit more. We will finish at midday or earlier if we are going really well. You need to bring gloves, suitable footwear, water etc. We will provide the bags.
