Join us at the secluded Ronga Reserve, Rai Valley, for our annual planting day.  Under the shade of giant totara and matai, we’ll be restoring the site with a variety of broadleaf and podocarp species.  Join us on site, at 10am on Saturday 31st August, or meet at the Brick Oven in Rai Valley by 9.45am to convoy to the site.  You’ll need strong footwear and gardening gloves are optional.  All other gear, including spades, will be included.  We’ll have a BBQ lunch courtesy of DOC, so bring along a salad to share.  You’ll need your own plates, etc. Postponed if wet – check our FB page “Ronga Reserve Restoration” or phone 035452431 by 8am for advice.  Postponement dates are Sunday 1st September or Saturday 14th September.   Please contact Jenny  jennym.easton@gmail.com for carpooling.
