Mike Clout, Emeritus Professor of Conservation Ecology at the University of Auckland, will talk to us about conservation challenges for Aotearoa/New Zealand. He will describe the importance of our unique biodiversity, threats such as invasive species and climate change, and challenges for the future, using the conservation of kakapo as an example and discussing progress with the eradication and control of mammalian predators.
