Neil Henderson –  Pekapeka Tou Roa in North-West Auckland - Bats for all seasons

Neil Henderson from Kaipatiki Project has been working in collaboration with Community Waitakere over the last three years, to survey and monitor our little known population of North- West Auckland pekapeka tou roa. He will be presenting highlights of their work in the Cascades, the Kumeu/Taupaki open landscape and the Riverhead pine forest. This work has highlighted how little we know about our long tailed bat – he’ll share some very surprising and new discoveries!

We are in our temporary location of the Ranui Community House, 474 Swanson Road, opposite the Ranui Library.

Non members welcome, join us for a cup of tea or coffee and some supper afterwards and chat with likeminded people as well as our speakers who usually are available to answer questions after their talk. Koha appreciated to cover hall hire.
