Visit a local white flippered penguin colony. Learn about these delightful birds from Thomas and Kristina who run Christchurch Penguin Rehabilitation (see this year's Press article). The trip entails a 40 minute walk there and back, climbing up and down a ladder and over rocks. Closed toed shoes and trousers for safety are required.
