Thanks to our volunteers over the years, a few hundred native coastal wetland native plants have been put in Harbourview Fernbird Flats but they need some help from the invasive weeds. Please come join us for a weed releasing project to cut back some of the weed species so that our planted natives can get a head start before spring.
Light work but please bring gloves, gumboots or sturdy shoes. Children welcome but must be under adult supervision at all times. We will provide the weeding tools.
Meet by the old brick villa at 19 Longbush Road, Te Atatu Peninsula, 10 am, Saturday June 23. Finish by midday.
