James is an Edmund Hillary Fellow and an internationally recognised interdisciplinary marine scientist with extensive experience working in sustainability and climate change communications. He holds an MSc in Marine Systems and Policies from the University of Edinburgh and since 2016 has worked producing marine science and policy audiovisual content through his company Manaia Productions. He will talk to us about the Blue Cradle Foundation (based in Christchurch) and its work promoting the conservation and regeneration of the ocean's ecosystems and species as well as its ambition to host IMPAC6 (the International Marine Protected Areas Congress.)

The talk will be in the context of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030.
