Saturday 16th August 10am: Annual Ronga Reserve Planting Day
(Weather postponement date is Saturday 23rd August)
Forest & Bird's annual planting day of 1000 trees at the Ronga Reserve continues, after a one year break at one of Marlborough's remnant forest gems with towering podocarps. Planting and ongoing forest restoration has been occurring at the site for at least 12 years.
Wear solid footwear and appropriate clothing for the day, and bring spade and gloves. DOC will provide a BBQ, bring your lunch/thermos, and a salad to share, and cutlery, cup and plate.
Meet on site at 10am. The planting site is the far end of the reserve, beyond any plantings that F&B have done. If unsure of the location, meet opposite the Brick Oven, Rai Valley township, at 9.45am to convoy to the site (let Michael North know if this is needed: totara@ts.co.nz). Car sharing is strongly encouraged.
