Hasting-Havelock North Native Plant Nursery

The Branch operates a native shrub and tree nursery in Hastings. Volunteers meet at the Nursery most Tuesday mornings caring for plants propagated from locally sourced seed.

The purpose of the Nursery is to promote the planting of native species so there is no charge to groups or individuals for plants though a small donation is always welcome.

To join this group or to obtain plants contact the Branch Secretary Nick Sage.

Plants that may be available will include akeake, cabbage tree, coprosma rhamnoides, ferns, flaxes, karamu, kowhai, kahikatea, kānuka, lacebark, mapou (Red Matipo), pittosporum varieties, pseudopanax varieties, totara and titoki.
