Auckland Region

Auckland Region

The Auckland region’s diverse landscapes and marine environments are reflected in the range of opportunities for Forest & Bird members to give nature a helping hand. Whatever your conservation interest, our Auckland region branches are likely to have it covered. Hands-on opportunities include joining the team restoring Tuff Crater on the North Shore, controlling predators on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula next to Shakespeare Regional Park, or helping the shorebirds at Motu Manawa.

Our branches in the region are always looking for help to make sure nature’s voice is heard in New Zealand’s largest city. Depending on your preferences and skills, you can help with branch meetings and administration or in making submissions to the Auckland Council. And when you want to take a step back from the city to take a break on Auckland’s wild west coast, Forest & Bird also has its own lodge at Piha.
