Help remove invasive pest plants like blackberry to free up native plants and help protect native wildlife. We encourage anyone to get involved and will have Branch members on hand to show you the ropes. Following the working bee, we will have afternoon tea with an optional walk to explore the bush reserve.

Important!

We are taking measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 at all events. This includes limiting numbers, keeping contact tracing records, providing hand sanitiser and encouraging volunteers to keep a 1-metre distance from others.

If you have cold or flu-like symptoms or are feeling unwell, please stay home.

Moore's Bush is nestled in the beautiful Leith Valley, just a 10-minute drive from Dunedin City. This 4-hectare nature reserve has been restored from a dairy farm to native bush. Wildlife is abundant in this small forest, with native birds including kererū, tūī and korimako (bellbirds) in the canopy and freshwater fish, crayfish and invertebrates in the waters of the Leith Stream that runs through it.
