We are helping the Port Hills rangers create a corridor of native bush up a valley behind Sumner (off Evans Pass Rd). On this working-bee, we'll be trimming the long grass from around the native plants and using it to mulch them.

Ian McLennan, Chair of the Otamahua/Quail Island Restoration Trust, has spent most of his working life in the building industry. He started volunteering on Quail Island in 2004.

This theme acknowledges and celebrates the Marlborough region's 1800km of coastline.

The Sanctuary is an ECan reserve on the Christchurch side of the Waimakariri river. Help Brad Smith the ECan ranger for The Sanctuary to restore biodiversity to the area by planting native trees.
